| Term 1 9 training weeks | Monday 30 January – Thursday 29 March |
| Term 2 6 training weeks | Monday 14 May – Thursday 21 June |
| Term 3 11 training weeks | Monday 9 July – Thursday 20 September |
| Term 4 7 training weeks | Monday 8 October – Thursday 22 November |
The karate training year is divided into four training terms. Each terms starting and finishing date roughly coincide with the working school year and allow parents and students the flexibility to take advantage of school holiday periods.
Gradings
Kyu gradings (coloured belt gradings) will be conducted at various times throughout the year. Students who achieve the standard required to attempt their next kyu grading will be formally invited to undertake that grading. Black belt gradings are conducted as required.
