Authentic Shotokan Karate Australia (ASKA) membership and annual membership renewal is on a financial year basis.
ASKA membership fee
Initial membership joining fees are on a sliding scale reflecting when in the year you join ASKA.
Your membership fee includes:
Authentic Shotokan Karate Australia membership fee
Establishment fee (set up costs)
Sports insurance
Affiliation fees and a club badge

ASKA annual membership renewal fee
Annual ASKA membership renewal fee is $70. This fee is due and payable by 30 June each year.

Continued membership of Authentic Shotokan Karate Australia
Maintenance of your data base records, physical records and general administration
Sports insurance
Affiliation fees
Training fees
The total term training fee is determined by the student’s commitment to either one or two lessons per week during any term. For term dates see our notice board.
Training fees are
- Prepaid in full prior to the commencement of each training term
- Costed at $10 per lesson with a minimum of one lesson per week being charged over each term
- Prior to the commencement of each term students are advised of the training fees required for that term
- Payment for each full term can be made by direct deposit prior to each new term commencing or at the first training class the student attends that term
- Prospective students can join ASKA immediately or can undertake up to two trial lessons at $15 per lesson.
Prepaid term fees are non refundable and any unused lessons expire at the end of each term. Each student’s prepaid term fee is unique to that student; prepaid lessons are not transferable between students or family members.
If a student commits to prepay for one class per week for a term and then decides they want to train at additional classes during that term, the fee for each additional class is $15.
