People often ask or wonder about where the karate style they are practicing came from. This page traces our
Shotokan lineage back to very early times.
Most instructors myself included, have
trained under numerous karate teachers. Funakoshi Sensei had numerous
teachers not all of whom are mentioned on this chart.
This chart depicts the accurate Shotokan
lineage of Authentic Shotokan Karate Australia (ASKA).
By not mentioning other very good
instructors I have had, in particular my Wu Shu teacher, I intend no
disrespect. This chart clearly and accurately depicts ASKA’s Shotokan
lineage through my association with Kanazawa Sensei and the SKIF.
